Girls Varsity Swimming vs. Thornapple Kellogg High School

Wildcats Lose: -
The girl's swim and dive team finished 2nd place in the OK Rainbow swim and dive conference meet on Saturday, finishing only 2.5 points behind Unity Christian. Top performances were had by all members of the team. The girl's finished the weekend with an athlete or relay finishing in first place for 7 of the 11 swimming events which earned the following athletes all-conference: Laney Wolf, Taylor Wolf, Kennedy Jasinksi, Sami Reed, Elliot Antel, Abigail DeWeerd, and Ellie Hudson. These seven girls also broke the school records for all the relay events as well. Laney Wolf broke the school records in the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. Sami Reed broke the school record in the 100 freestyle, also qualifying for state in this event along with Elliot Antel. Kennedy Jasinski qualified for state in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley. Taylor Wolf qualified for state in the 200-individual medley as well as speeding up her already qualified 100 breaststroke. Finally, both Sami Reed and Elliot Antel qualiified for state in the 50 freestyle. After this weekend's performance, the team is ranked 11th in the state for Division 3! Great job ladies!

The girl's swim and dive team defeated their neighbor rival, TK/DK/Hastings last night. Top performances include Sami Reed, Ceezons Hudson, and Taylor Wolf who swam a state qualifying time in the 100 breaststroke. Great job ladies!

The girl's swim and dive team had a close loss to Plainwell on Thursday night. Top performances were had by all members of the team including Ellie Hudson, Sybil Williamson, and Shelby Montague. The relay team of Reed, Wolf, Antel, and Wolf also qualified for the 400 free relay for the division 3 state meet. Great job ladies!

The girl's swim and dive team had an amazing performance at the annual Northview Invitational on Saturday, finishing 5th place out of 11 teams. This was the highest the girls have ever placed at this meet. Top performances were had by all members of the team including a state qualifying relay team of Sami Reed, Elliot Antel, Taylor Wolf, and Laney Wolf. Laney also qualified for state and broke the school record for the 50 freestyle!
