Even flashy new team shirts today couldn't bring any luck to our Wildcat bowling teams. Both boys and girls teams took a big "L" in the win/loss column.
Wayland Boys 4 - Unity Christian 26.
There isn't much to brag about this evening. Thank goodness we took the second Baker game easily.
Wayland Girls 1 - Unity Christian 29.
Oh boy that was a struggle. We had a young team of freshmen and sophomores tonight as anchor Amber Beggs is on the disable list for a couple of weeks. Thankfully, Christmas Break will give her some much needed rest.
Unity did have some good games, but we need to dig deep and find that competitive nature and believe in ourselves!
I really see a good future for this young team as several of our young bowlers are good listeners and are eager to improve. They are doing what we ask them to do and will get stronger and more experienced as time goes by.
Congratulations to Lillian Gates on her new personal best score of 156, which was high for Wayland in game 2 - she even beat all of the boys! This kid is a smooth lefty and anybody who knows anything about bowling - knows that is an advantage! I don't think we have heard the last of Lilly!
