On Monday, the Wildcats traveled to Holland to take on the Dutch.
Wayland played competitively, but ultimately lost 2-6. Taking wins for the Wildcats were 2nd Singles Cam Sieffert, playing through obstacles such as broken strings and worn out shoes but still winning 6-1, 6-4; and at 3rd singles Chesney Hudson, playing consistent, efficient tennis and taking his match 6-0, 6-0.
At 4th singles, Jacob VanDuine again played his opponent to a 3rd set tie-breaker in what is becoming his trademark style. This time, however, Jacob came up just short, falling in the 10-point tie-breaker with a score of 8-10.
This was a significant warm-up match for the Wildcats as they prepare for the OK Gold Conferece tournament on October 3rd.
