The Wildcats picked up their first victory on the season 58-44 against the visiting Red Arrows of Lowell.  Wayland jumped out to a 17-7 first quarter lead thanks in part to their trapping defense.  In the second and third quarters the Red Arrows took a page out of the Wildcats defensive playbook creating pressure on defense, which lead to several easy baskets and cut the deficit to one, 42-41 at the end of the 3rd quarter.  The forth quarter saw the Wildcats outscore the Red Arrows 17-2 to secure the 58-44 victory.  Leading the way for the Wildcats was Cory Ainsworth who had 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks.  Up next for the Wildcats is a trip to Caledonia on December 11th.
