Ladies: Wayland 28 - Wyoming 2
The Lady Cat's dominated Wyoming this afternoon in Spectrum Lanes new addition. It was the first high school match to be bowled there! What a cool place to go bowling!
The beginning Baker games were taken by Wayland with scores of 157-59 and 144-75. Wyoming unfortunately fielded only 4 bowlers so they had a tough time.
The ladies rolled well in the first game defeating their opponent 671 to 382. High bowlers in this match were Bella Harnish and Kadence Bottrall.
The match was over with one game to bowl. Freshman Carlie Anes, who literally just got a new ball drilled, rolled a strike! Lauren Healy saw her first varsity match along with Carlie.
Leading scores for the evening were by Kadence Bottrall 182 and 188 and Bella Harnish 145-148
Men: Wayland 1 - Wyoming 29
As lopsided as the Wayland Girls won, the Wolves returned the favor on the gentlemen's side. The Wolves are a great team and are very strong with great depth.
Senior Jordan Fitzgerald took the teams lonely point. Yes that was "lonely" and "only". His second game of 175 was clean until that darn tenth frame. Don't worry Jordan, you will get your 200 soon!
Junior Alan Beggs is rolling the ball very well as a result of hard work. He is so smooth this year.
We have a lot of work to do as we are so young and inexperienced. As long as the boys remain focused and listen, they will see improvements. They are good kids and they are had fun and were in awe of the new addition to Spectrum Lanes.
