HIP, HIP, HOORAY - AMBER BEGGS MADE STATE TODAY!

We were down to our last senior bowler this afternoon. Things weren't looking very good as her first game was a 129. Amber re-injured her back again as she misjudged the step on the approach. Her next game was only 19 pins better. Things were feeling pretty dismal at this point, but our freshman Bella Harnish was doing pretty well with games of 162 and 156. The next game was an improvement for these ladies. Amber wasn't ready to turn her towel in yet and rolled a fine 202 game while Bella shot 178. Things were looking up as these two girls were definitely in the top 20 with three games to go. Both ladies faltered a little with identical games of 148. That wasn't good. Amber Beggs then dug deep with experience under her belt and family and friends cheering her on. This would be her last time at a chance to make the state tournament. This young lady is such a positive role model. She never gets down on herself and always looks at the bright side. She said, "I still have a chance and I am going to do this" and do this she did rolling 186 and 213 for the final two of six exhausting games. When checking on our freshman Bella in game 6, I felt so bad for this kid. You could see exhaustion had set in. This poor kid looked so tired! Don't you worry, Bella will be back and we have three more years!

Senior
Amber Beggs qualifies 10th with a six match series of 1026.

Sophomore
Bella Harnish finishes 25th with a six match series of 926.

If you see Amber wish her the best of luck at the State Finals in Waterford this coming weekend
