The Athletic Department is excited to announce three new Spring Varsity Coaches!
Morgan Lee – Varsity Girls Soccer
My name is Morgan Lee and I am fifth grade teacher at Pine Street. I grew up in Imlay City, MI where I graduated High School in 2012. After High School, I graduated from Spring Arbor University in 2016 with a degree in Elementary Education in mathematics and integrated science. I have been a part of the Wayland Girls Basketball program and I am eager to start my first year as the Wayland Girl's Varsity Soccer Coach. I reside in Kentwood where I enjoy being a health/fitness coach, researching dogs to adopt, and exploring the beautiful city of Grand Rapids.
Seth Beat – Varsity Girls Tennis
I graduated from Harbor Springs high school in 2001 and graduated from Central Michigan University in 2006 with a major in mathematics education and a minor in computer science. I have been coaching Swim & Dive at Wayland for 13 years and have been coaching girls JV tennis for 5 years. I look forward to taking on the new role of the Varsity Girls Tennis Coach. I reside in Holland where I enjoy sailing, skiing, mountain biking and hiking.
Brian Huberty - Varsity Baseball
Growing up, I attended Plainwell High School where I lettered in football and baseball. I moved onto letter in varsity baseball at Cornerstone University where I graduated with honors. After graduation, I taught at Algoma Christian School for a year and was hired at Plainwell High School the following year. This is where I currently serve as an educator. I have coached high school football at Plainwell for 16 years and baseball for 11. I am a combat Army veteran, who served a year overseas in Iraq. I am lucky enough to have married my best friend and we have 3 beautiful daughters ages 9, 9, and 12. I look forward to being a part of such a great community and leading your baseball program.
